The Shave Den Lemongrass Shaving Soap
The container was adequate and strong enough to withstand shipping; however, the moment I opened the lid I was overpowered by the scent. It was absolutely too much scent for my senses. I prefer a soap that has a light scent, which becomes more apparent as the lather develops. Instead, the Lemongrass stayed with me for a long time and conflicted with my aftershave and cologne.
The lather offered little cushion and not much glide, which was a sure sign that it contained too much Bentonite clay. Bentonite clay pulls water from the mix and also from your skin. As water is pulled from the mix, lubrication and cushion are reduced, which is not good for a shaving soap. I cut this soap with both a double-edge razor and a straight razor, but I was not impressed with the result using either of the razors.
Would I use this product again? Probably not.
