Great shaver

I taught my son how to shave using my old safety razor and he was bugging me to get him one. I found this safety razor and couldn't be happier with the purchase. Its robust to say the least. It will (with proper care) last my son a lifetime. It also gives my son a great shave and won't kill his wallet buying blades. It's a win win in every direction.

Have You Ever Tried a Pre-Shave Oil or Lotion? Yes and I think they do well but I don't think they are necessary for a close shave but if you have sensitive skin will help prevent razor burn
Do you prefer a Shave Soap or Cream? I prefer the cream but both do their job
Do you prefer a Safety Razor or Straight Razor? I love the clean shave of my straight razors but you can't beat the convenience of a safety razor

Good razor, just not for me.

I really wanted to like this, but it really gave me a horrible shave due to the angle of the blade. I bought an adjustable razor and was able to find the perfect angle and get a perfect shave.

first double edged: compact, good grip, close shave

After a couple days practice, I've successfully performed a full, close shave with this compact double edge. This is my first double edge razor. It has a good grip, so I never slipped when shaving. It is also heavy enough to do the work without pressure, which I had to learn to do properly because I was new to this

Great For Coarse Hair

This is the first razor I've ever used that has given me a close shave without razor burn. I have a coarse beard, and sensitive skin. In the past I could not use a razor only an electric trimmer, but since I got this razor the electric trimmer has been retired permanently
