What The Puck

I have been searching for shaving soap with rich thick lather that would remain, as such, from one side of my face to the other without drying out. One that would remain soft. This is it. Thank you for a great product.

  • How long have you been Wet Shaving? Sixty years.
  • Do you prefer a Safety Razor or Straight Razor? Safety razor. At 80 my hands are too shaky, any more for the straight razor.
  • Do you prefer a Shave Soap or Cream? Always mug soap.
  • Have You Ever Tried a Pre-Shave Oil or Lotion? No.

Super Rich shaving soap

Really like the thick foamy lather

  • How long have you been Wet Shaving? I was introduced to brush and mug shaving when entered the US Army in 1967 (57 years ago)
  • Do you prefer a Safety Razor or Straight Razor? I currently prefer a five blade disposable head safety razor.
  • Do you prefer a Shave Soap or Cream? I will occasionally use a "canned" shaving cream but prefer to use soap and brush.
  • Have You Ever Tried a Pre-Shave Oil or Lotion? I've never tried oils or lotions for shaving.

Great Soap

The soap was and is really great. Plenty of slickness and it is a real bargain. The fragrance on this batch was shall we say “unique”. It’s not bad but nothing to write home about. I would buy it again even with the unusual fragrance.

  • Do you prefer a Safety Razor or Straight Razor? Safety Razor
  • Do you prefer a Shave Soap or Cream? Mostly soap but I have used cream.
