Grim Blades Limited Edition Black & Gold Kit

Bought this as an early Birthday present for myself. I had been using a starter razor like the Dollar shave straight razor for a while. I felt it was getting dull and I wanted to get something without a round tip and get a square tip. I saw this and it totally fit my wants and personality and etc. I got this and a new professional strop. I didn't bother trying to sharpen or strop it because it says they come shave ready. Holy cow it was the sharpest thing I have ever used. It felt amazing. The first pass was literally almost all I needed. It cut off like 95% and I almost didn't need to even go against the grain because it was so good. I am very shocked and happy about how easy this blade cuts. It is amazing. I am sure the regular silver blade version of this is just as good.. but this one just looks so much cooler. I had to have it. I recommend this to Anyone looking for a great close shave and a nice sharp blade that will last a long time. 5/5 stars.

Purchased this as a gift, so haven't used this one personally, but absolutely love the Grimm blade that I do use daily. I did check the hone and it is on point! The custom engraving I requested is amazing.

The package showed up a day early, everything was packaged with great care to prevent damage. The blade came oiled, sharp and nicely wrapped to prevent corrosion. The brush and soap were also sealed and packaged well. The blade's craftsmanship is beautiful. It's tight, perfect weight and shave ready out of the box. I started with a Dovo Classic, from Amazon, and ended up returning it because I could not get it sharpened. I almost gave up, but decided to spring for this set because it was on sale at the time, and the blade was made in the U.S.A.! The contrast could not be more pronounced between these two out of the box. Grandid, the Dovos don't really come shave ready, but still... this blade feels like a work of art compared to the Dovo's entry level, plasticy feel. Plus, the Grim logo... how badass! The service from Classic Shaving was awesome, I'll be coming back for everything that I need.
