Not as expected

While this is a high quality product, it is not as thick as some of the creams I prefer.

Good value for the money

Although it is 8 oz instead of the 5 oz I usually get with my regular brand, I need to use almost twice as much on the brush to get the same results, so it doesn't go any farther. My badger brush needs to be dryer than I am used to so it isn't to thin. It leaves my face more squeaky clean after rinsing than conditioned feeling, but it is perfectly adequate for 6 day a week Hart Steel straight razor shaving of tough whiskers. (My whiskers destroy Philips Norelco or Braun electric shaver cutters in 2 1/2 months of 6 day a week shaving. Disposable razors: day 1 - OK. Day 2 - less OK. Day 3 - doesn't seem to be cutting. Day 4 - grabbing and nicking. And that was before they started going grey!)

  • How long have you been Wet Shaving? 35 yrs wet shaving, 7 years straight razor shaving, 6 years exclusively with Hart Steel. Other popular razors don't have hard enough steel.
  • Do you prefer a Safety Razor or Straight Razor? I only shave with Straight razors.
  • Do you prefer a Shave Soap or Cream? I like a good quality soap with sufficient glide and cushion or a good cream with the same qualities.
  • Have You Ever Tried a Pre-Shave Oil or Lotion? Yes, its mandatory with tough whiskers.

Luxurious

Loved all the scents I’ve chosen. I was disappointed that another was unavailable. I even enjoyed the “Lump of Coal” scent.
