Note: These scales are designed to fit both 6/8 and 7/8 width Hart Steel blades ONLY. All Hart steel razors use a unique screw and nut pivot pin that allows for easy change of the many styles of Hart Steel scales. Vintage razor styles use a peened pin that although may last centuries in a razor are difficult to adjust and require specialized tools to replace scales on the razors.
NOTE: Changing a peened pin razor to the more modern Hart Steel screw and nut assembly can require quite a bit of modification. The most difficult and labor intensive aspect of upgrading the razor is getting a carbon drill bit to drill through the hardened steel. Trying to just use the Hart Steel scales on a peened pin style razor will not work as the hole for the screw is pre-made and much too large for the smaller pin.
